Athlete
Application
Apply to become a Student Athlete of Israel. The application takes about 10 minutes. We review every submission personally and respond within two weeks.
Train. Study. Both.
When you join SAI, you don't trade one ambition for another. You step into a structure built so elite sport and the same degree as every other student can coexist — with the people, time, and money to make both work.
Academic Flexibility
Exams deferred around training camps and competition. Assignments restructured for a season abroad. An extended degree timeline if your athletic career calls for it. You set the schedule your sport needs — the academic program adapts.
Scholarship Support
Tuition coverage scaled to your competitive level — partial for high-performance athletes, maximum for Olympic and Paralympic competitors. Training stipends and equipment grants where the gap is greatest.
A Dedicated Coordinator
One person inside Bar-Ilan whose job is the bridge between your sport and your degree. They handle the deferrals, the missed lectures, the catch-up tutoring, the registrar conversations — so you don't.
The Same Degree
Not athletics-lite. Not a watered-down track. The same degree as every other student, the same standards, the same opening of doors when sport ends. SAI doesn't lower the bar — it gives you the structure to clear it on your timeline.
A Cohort of Peers
You won't be the only person on campus juggling national-team selection and a final exam. SAI is a community of athletes solving the same problem — and a network of Olympic alumni who already navigated it.
A Life After Sport
Career coaching, alumni introductions, internships timed around your competition calendar. SAI is the structural answer to "what's next" — built so the day after your last race isn't the day you start from zero.
